Pennsylvania Garden Party to feature eight Newtown-area gardens

Posted

The Countryside Gardeners Club of Newtown will be hosting a garden tour as part of a statewide “2026 Pennsylvania Garden Party” organized by the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania. Countryside Gardeners will feature eight private and public gardens centered in Newtown and also one in Bensalem and Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. Our tour date is Saturday, June 20.

The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania proudly presents the first-ever statewide garden tour on Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, June 26, from 9:30 am to 4 pm. View over ninety beautiful, private landscapes and unique public gardens, spanning twelve counties across the Keystone State. Your ticket provides entrance to all the gardens over the two days. This is a rain or shine event.

Fifteen clubs from the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania have organized lovely gardens that will be in bloom from west of Pittsburgh to Clarion in the north, through Lancaster and all the way to east of Valley Forge.

Countryside Gardeners’ Newtown area tour will feature 8 gardens that include a native garden pollinator paradise, a lawn-edged by camellias with a perennial garden, and then cast your gaze up at the roof of the carriage house to see the rooftop vegetable garden. Also view a botanical, sculptural, and historical oasis that has won awards from Bucks Beautiful, and see a yard transformed from an invasive ridden, barren lawn into an oasis featuring more than 140 native plant species.

A $25 ticket includes a full-color tour book that will be mailed to the ticket purchaser and serves as the entrance pass to all the gardens over the two days. Tickets are available for purchase by check or credit card until June 6. Visit the GCFP website at www.pagardenclubs.org for information and ticket sales. Please choose Countryside Gardeners as your “host garden” which needs to be selected on the ticket form. After June 6, tickets can only be purchased by credit card online for $30 and sales on the ‘day of the tour’ at the historic Half Moon Inn, 105 Court St. in Newtown. Tickets are good for both dates across the state of PA. If you have questions, please send an email to countrysidegardenersclub@gmail.com. All sales are final.
