Free Library of Northampton Township to host summer 2026 activities

Excitement with America’s 250 anniversary is happening at the library as we host a panel exhibition entitled “American Revolution Experience”.  A collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution, this exhibition runs July 21-31, and tells the story of our nation’s beginning.   

Join us for the Summer Quest Kickoff Party, a family event on Saturday, June 20 from 10 am  - 12 pm.  Free books, face painting, fun crafts and games.  Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck is here, too.  Pick up your summer reading log and earn buttons for every five days you read.  If you read for 25 days, you can enter a raffle!  

Wednesday Morning Movies begin on Wednesday, June 24 at 10 am and continue through Wednesday, August 12. Enjoy kid-friendly moves such as “SpongeBob: Search for SquarePants”, “Zootopia 2”, “Hoppers”, and more.  

Explore nature on Nature Saturdays.  A Churchville Nature Center educator joins us on Saturdays at 10:30 am to explore.  Registration for each class is required.

Saturday, June 27, Explore our Library Habitat (plants, wildlife outside) Grades K+

Saturday, July 18 , Geology Rocks (a hands-on interactive rock program) Grades 3+

Saturday, July 25 , Amazing Insects (get up close to the most abundant animals on earth) Grades 2+

Saturday, August 15, Reptile Smiles (features harmless live snakes, lizards and turtles) Grades 2+ 

Teens Art Lab Series have creative fun on Mondays at 6 pm on June 22, July 6, July 20, and August 3.  

Teen Essay Writing Workshops: Do you like to write or need pointers on how to write your college essay?  Register for Brainstorming & Outlining on Wednesday, June 24 at 6 pm or Refining the Essay on Wednesday, August 5 at 6 pm.
