Want to search for your family roots? The library offers two introductory Genealogy Classes. The first, “Introduction to Ancestry: Library Edition,” is on Thursday, April 10, at 6 pm and covers the Ancestry database. Then, on Thursday, April 24, at 6 pm, the class will cover the library’s access to “Family Search”. Registration required.
Beth Allen of Hip Chicks returns to the library to present “Home Repair Made Easy” on Saturday, April 26, at 1 pm. As a licensed contractor, Ms. Allen has plenty of DIY ideas for household repairs without busting the budget. Plus, she will tackle the 7 common home repair issues: clogs, leaks, bad outlets, carpet stains, and more. Registration required.
Are you a caregiver or have a loved one needing more care and feel overwhelmed? Join us on Saturday, May 3, at 1 pm as Beth Allen (yes, the Hip Chick is also a registered nurse and teacher!) presents her informative program “Forgotten Caregiver”, an introduction to dementia; early stages, getting a diagnosis, resources, and more. Registration required.
