7 can’t-miss fall festivals in Bucks County

The fall season is upon us and with it comes a packed lineup of pumpkin-filled festivals, hayrides, corn mazes, live music and family-friendly fun.

From longtime favorites like Peddler’s Village and Shady Brook Farm to community harvest celebrations throughout the county, there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of the season. 

Here are some must-see fall festivals happening throughout Bucks County. 

Shady Brook Farm Fall Fest

From Sept. 11 through Oct. 30, Shady Brook Farm will be hosting its Fall Fest, which will include more than 25 farm-fun attractions, pumpkin picking, the farm’s American 250 Corn Maze, wagon rides, Eerie Illuminations and much more. Tickets run around $25.

Yardley Harvest Day

On Saturday, Sept. 19, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., come celebrate the importance of the yearly harvest at Yardley Harvest Day. Festivities will include unique wares from local crafters and artisans, live music, delicious food, and plenty of activities for the kids like pumpkin decorating, pony rides, a bounce house, face painting, a magician and more.

Yardley Harvest Day will take place across W. Afton Avenue, Buttonwood Drive and Buttonwood Park in Yardley. The formal rain date is Sept. 26.

Peddler's Village  Scarecrow Festival

Fall comes alive at Peddler’s Village, where pathways are lined with more than 100 colorful, creative scarecrows throughout the annual Scarecrows in the Village display. The fun peaks during the Scarecrow Festival on Sept. 19 and 20, when families can enjoy scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live music and kids’ activities.

The Village also keeps the fall festivities going with OctoberFeast in October and its popular Apple Festival in November, making it an easy destination for a full day of seasonal fun, shopping and dining.

Bensalem Family Fall Festival

Bensalem Township is hosting its Family Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3. With a beer garden, food trucks, a petting zoo, mini golf and bounce houses, there will be fun for all ages.

Food trucks and the beer garden open at 1:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies starting at 2 p.m.  The culmination of the day is the 6:30 p.m. concert and fireworks afterward.

Snipes Farm Festivities

Snipes Farm located in Morrisville has fun events planned all autumn long. On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Farm Harvest Tour takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Registration is required.)

Then on Saturday, Oct. 17, bring your competitive spirit for some Autumn Archery between 10 a.m. and noon. The activity is suitable for ages 8 and up. Your first shots will be with USA Archery instructors; registration is required.

Also on Sunday, Oct. 25, Snipes Farm will be hosting Pumpkin and Pies between 1 and 5 p.m. Festivities include an all-you-can-eat pie tasting, pumpkin painting and, of course, farm animals.

Perkasie Fall Festival

Perkasie in Upper Bucks is holding its Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 4, from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to enjoy lots of free attractions including live music, a pie-eating contest, a huge inflatable farm maze and pumpkin decorating. There will be shuttles running between the two festival areas.

Fall Fest at Coleman Hay Farms

From Sept. 26 through Oct. 25, on the weekends between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., enjoy some farm fun at Coleman Hay Farms.

Activities will include hayrides through cow pastures, pick-your-own pumpkin patches, horse-drawn carriage rides and plenty of kid-friendly adventures, including a corn maze. The farm market will be open as well.

The last hayride departs at 3:15 p.m. Tickets are $18 online and $20 at the door.
