You may have sensed this following our article last month, but the dental baton has now officially been passed. With the start of a new year, and after 42 wonderful years of caring for our patients, my dad, mentor, and Bucks County Dental Design practice founder, Michael Spadafora, DDS, has officially retired.

He often said that it was a dream to live, raise his family and serve the people in this wonderful community. While he took pleasure in his five-minute commute, his real joy came from building lasting relationships and creating healthy, confident smiles along the way. I am proud and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have learned from and worked alongside him for the past 14 years, gaining not only clinical knowledge but also a deep appreciation for the importance of trust, compassion, and treating every patient like family.

While my dad is stepping away from day-to-day dentistry, patients may still spot him in the office from time to time, checking in on a few hygiene patients or filling in a day or two for me. This, of course, is if he’s not out on the golf course or spending time with his beloved grandchildren!

Not many are fortunate enough to experience a father-son dental journey, and I consider it a tremendous honor to continue what he began. His values, work ethic, and commitment to patient-centered care remain the foundation of this practice. As I move forward, my goal is to build upon that legacy while continuing to grow and evolve in ways that best serve our patients. Together with our dedicated team, we look forward to continuing the same tradition of excellence, integrity, and warmth you’ve come to expect—and to caring for Bucks County smiles for many years to come.
